Blue Moon Wisteria Vine – 5 Gallon Pot

The wisteria showed up healthy and with flower buds on it! It is the size that nurseries sell for 3 times the price! I took a chance spending so much money on a plant I was told by local greenhouses wouldn’t do well in this area, and I’m so glad I did! Wilson Bros shipped it out right away and the “twig” arrived well protected in it’s packaging. I was still skeptical it was actually even alive, but went ahead and watered it, and gave it some rooting fertilizer. I put it on the NE corner of my house next to an arbor, so it gets really good morning light, and throughout the day. I waited until after the last frost to fertilize, and reached out to the help desk to make sure I was ok adding the fertilizer. Within a couple of weeks I started seeing new growth, and now only 5 weeks later I have the beautiful blooms pictured. This wisteria was shipped quickly. It arrived in perfect condition. I am pleased with the large size of the plant. It’s too soon to know if it is thriving, but it looks good so far. Thank you!

I was thrilled to see this plant offered by Wilson Bros and promptly purchased it. It arrived in a large box, locked into place, with staples through the bottom to hold the plastic pot in place. It was probably already 4 ft tall, which was wonderful to see! The plant had shed a LOT of LEAVES during transit, but there were still quite a few left on it. Many were spotted and some were yellowing.. The plant also was very root bound in it’s pot, and I felt it was unhappy with its handling during transit. It was quite hard to remove the packaging, but I was as gentle as I could be. The bamboo support it had on it, didn’t go into the pot at all and in the breeze the the support was useless! Luckily I had other bamboo supports I was able to place into the pot and I put the Wisteria very close to where it was to be planted and left it a few days to acclimate to the garden. After planting, and spreading out its roots in the process, it seems to be doing well so far. So I’m crossing my fingers! I guess it’s doing as well as can be expected. I just wish there were specialized shipping services for plants that were a bit more gentle with them.————————————————–Hi Theresa, Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your review of the Blue Moon Wisteria Vine. So sorry about the shipping problems, we take great care in packing our plants for shipping, but sometimes the carrier is not so careful. We’re with you, we wish there was a specialized carrier for plants too! One good thing, Wisteria is very resilient and it should be fine, just make sure you water regularly, if it’s still hot in your location. 🙂
