I got fig trees from three different vendors this year, and this one was by far the best of the three. It had more branches and denser leaves. Plant arrived in beautiful condition. I got it into a large planter the next day (I’m in zone 6, so cold hardy or not, it’s coming into our basement for winter). So far, it seems to be doing very well. Looking forward to next year when I expect to see some fruit. My next door neighbor is a fig expert, and I’m taking cues from her. When I opened the box my expectations were far exceeded! The plant was packaged to prevent damage and it was so beautiful and healthy. This is the second Celeste fig tree I’ve purchased from Wilson’s. I also have the Chicago Cold Hardy fig. Both have done fine in north Georgia but think the Celeste is just as cold hardy as the Chicago. Both of my young trees produced a few little figs last year. We’ve noticed the same thing regarding the cold hardiness of the Celeste Fig tree, which seems to be equal to the Chicago Cold Hardy. On the fig trees you planted last year, you should get way more firuits this year than last year. Fruit production goes up exponentially every year.
