A truly one of a kind and breathtaking fall bloomer, the Dream Weaver Camellia produces an abundance of absolutely beautiful two-tone double flowers adorned with deep pink to lavender-purple petals at the center surrounded by white petals. One of our favorites!
Landscape & Garden Uses
A midsize Camellia growing to about 6 to 8 or more tall and 4 to 6 feet wide (depending on pruning), Dream Weaver can be grown as a shrub or small tree. As a shrub it’s ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings, or as hedge or background plant in landscape borders and is especially nice as a corner plant or espalier (trained to grow flat against a wall) in home foundation plantings. As Dream Weaver grows taller lower branches can be removed to form a highly attractive and colorful small evergreen tree that serves well as an accent or focal point specimen in landscape borders and home foundation plantings. A fine addition to camellia gardens, Asian gardens, cottage gardens, cut flower gardens and woodland borders. Also suitable for containers that can be brought indoors during winter by those who live and garden above USDA Zone 7a, where this camellia variety is not reliably winter hardy. Find Your Zone
Spacing: 4 feet apart for solid hedge; 8 feet or more apart for space between plants
Note: For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 7a, where this Camellia variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
Growing Preferences
Camellia adapt well to various soil types however prefer a moist but well-drained acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. Constantly soggy soil is a slow killer. In general, Camellias grow and bloom better in partial shade with some shelter from the hot afternoon sun. Morning sun with afternoon shade or filtered sunlight is perfect. All-day filtered sun is fine.

I purchased this as a gift for my 96 year-old mother. She loves blooming things so this will allow her to have something blooming in the winter! Shipping took much longer than expected but the plant arrived unharmed.———————————————We are so glad you are pleased and we hope your mom enjoys it for years to come! So sorry for the shipping delay, our shipping is usually very speedy. Thanks for the great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
This plant is beautiful! I was happy with the evergreen leaves as the plant is very lush and has a nice shape, but I was pleasantly surprised when it began to bloom. I have other camellias, and they have few, small flowers … this one has been blooming for three weeks now and it still has so many buds to go. I hope to buy another of the same. I have mine in an extra large container in a sheltered location. The flowers start small before opening up. Some even survived the rain.————————————–Wow! Thanks for the photos! We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
I was so impressed by the speed of delivery and the quality of the packaging….BUT….even more impressed by the plant. Extra care was taken to wrap the pot for decreased soil loss and the plant was in excellent condition…..large with green leaves and new leaf growth. I will be back for more !————————————–We are so glad you are pleased with your purchase! Thanks for the kind words and great review! Beth | WBG 🙂

Although one of the boxes arrived terribly mangled, all four of the camellias were in great condition. I am very happy with the quality of plants I received. They were a good size and the two Dream Weaver Sasanquas had buds! We planted them the day they arrived, and I can’t wait to see them in bloom.
I would definitely order from Wilson Bros Gardens again.—————————————————–Glad to hear that even though the box was damaged that the plants arrived unscathed. As you noticed, over the years we’ve developed a packaging method that protects plants even if the box is handled roughly, which allows us to offer our “safe shipping guarantee” on any and every order.
