Description
The Meyer Lemon Tree pleases in more ways than one. It produces clusters of very pretty fragrant white flowers and the fruits provide color and are edible as well. A self-fertile hybrid of a lemon and mandarin orange, the fruits are juicy and sweeter than typical lemons, which makes them a favorite for use in desserts and drinks. You only need one tree to produce fruits. Due to its smaller stature to 6 to 10 feet tall and 4 to 8 feet wide, smaller in containers, it can be grown in the ground or in containers year round outdoors in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 9 through11. North of Zone 9 it should be grown in a container that can be overwintered or grown year round indoors. Depending on the location, the tree blooms in spring or fall with wonderfully fragrant waxy white flowers. Following the flowers are the abundant green fruits that will become golden yellow when ripe and ready to pick and eat.
Landscape & Garden Uses
The Meyers Lemon Tree grows 6 to 10 feet tall and 4 to 8 feet wide, depending on pruning, whether growing in the ground or pots, and whether growing indoors or outdoors. Trees growing in containers won’t grow as big as those growing in the ground. Meyer Lemon is self fertile so you need only plant one for fruit. In USDA Zones 9 through 11 Meyer Lemon can be grown outdoors year round and is ideal for use as a specimen in smaller spaces and containers or in groupings where space allows.
Suggested Spacing: 10 feet or more apart for space between trees
Growing Preferences
Meyer Lemon Tree is easy to grow in a moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full to mostly sun. Whether growing indoors or outdoors we suggest at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for the best flowering and fruit yield. Amend heavy clay soils to improve porosity and ensure good drainage. They like the soil to hold a good supply of water, especially when the fruits are developing in summer, but not so much water that the soil stays constantly soggy or wet, which can be problematic. It thrives best in soil with a pH ranging between 5.5.to 6.5 on the pH scale.

I ordered from fast growing tree and one from here. Wilsonbro is by far the better choice for the quality of plant and packaging. My tree came with 50+ lemons. It was a pleasant surprise.——————————————–Thanks for the kind words and wonderful review!
