At Sapling Whisper Store, we nurture every plant with care before it reaches your garden, just as we carefully handle every aspect of your shopping experience. Should your botanical treasures arrive in less-than-perfect condition, our flexible returns policy ensures your complete satisfaction.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns within 15 days of delivery for most items. To be eligible for a return:

  • Plants must be in their original, resalable condition
  • All identification tags must remain attached
  • Original packaging should be retained when possible

Please Note: Due to the delicate nature of living plants, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Plants that have been planted or removed from their original containers
  • Custom or special order items (marked as such on product pages)
  • Seasonal plants with limited viability windows

Return Process

  1. Contact Us: Email [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order with your return request. Use our template below for faster processing.
  2. Receive Authorization: Our plant whisperers will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.
  3. Package Carefully: Repack the plant in its original container with adequate protection.
  4. Ship Back: Send the package to our Sacramento nursery using a trackable shipping method.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error. We recommend using:

  • DHL/FedEx: For fastest return processing (similar to our standard shipping)
  • EMS: More economical for international returns

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Timing: Refunds are processed within 5 business days
  • Method: Funds will be returned to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Amount: Full purchase price minus any original shipping costs (unless return is due to our error)

Exchange Process

For exchanges (subject to availability):

  1. Follow the standard return process above
  2. Specify your desired replacement plant in your return email
  3. We’ll ship your new plant once the return is received

Note: Additional shipping charges may apply for exchanges to different plant categories.
